Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and reliable HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to transport gas safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will hold the relevant ADR certification for gas (Category 2) and have a strong commitment to safety and compliance. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering a progressive schedule starting with 3-4 days a week and gradually increasing after the New Year.

The successful candidate will receive two weeks of training, including working as a driver's buddy during this period, to ensure a smooth transition and full understanding of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transporting gas products in compliance with ADR regulations.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Loading and unloading gas cylinders or tanks at designated locations.
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and adhering to scheduled routes.
  • Ensuring all safety protocols are followed during transportation and handling.
  • Liaising with dispatchers and customers professionally.
  • Participating in a structured two-week training program alongside a driver's buddy.
Requirements:
  • Valid HGV Class 1 Licence (Category C+E).
  • ADR Certificate, including Category 2 (Gases - Tanks and Packages).
  • Up-to-date CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Experience with HGV Class 1 vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of ADR and road safety regulations.
  • Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of loading/unloading.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
Working Hours:
  • Initially 3-4 days per week, with a gradual increase in shifts after the New Year.
  • Flexibility required for varying shift patterns.
