Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented System Administrator to manage and maintain our organisation's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of computer systems and networks, providing technical support and implementing best practices to optimise operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Respond promptly to technical support requests from users.
• Manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other communication systems.
• Ensure network security through firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform routine network monitoring and optimise performance.
• Perform regular data backups and recovery operations.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Provide regular status updates and reports to management.
• Assist in planning and implementing system upgrades and new technologies.
• Collaborate with IT team members to improve system efficiency and functionality.

Required Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 1–2 years in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Basic knowledge of server and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
