CAD Detailer / Draughtsman
Type: Full-time, in-house
Location: Kingswinford
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Your main responsibilities:
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for architectural metalwork projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
• Conduct site surveys to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
• Produce comprehensive material and bolt lists for fabrication and installation.
• Maintain organized project documentation and ensure accuracy throughout the design process.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate:
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CAD detailing role, specifically within the architectural metalwork and steel fabrication sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) with some familiarity in 3D modelling (not essential).
• Experience in designing steel staircases, balustrades, handrails, and balconies.
• Knowledge of stainless steel and glazed balustrade systems.
• CSCS card holder to facilitate site surveys and inspections.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• A clean driving licence to support site visits when necessary.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
