LAB SUPPORT ASSISTANT (FTC)
We have a fixed term contract opening to support our Pharmaceutical client within the Angus region, offering Laboratory support working within an integrated environment and with a well established team. A fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking experience in a laboratory environment or change in career
The Lab Support Assistant's role is a physical and varied role operating across various labs which allows our client to focus on critical analysis of their product.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
-Stores Management - ensuring dry good, chemicals and solvents in stock, managed via site inventory/procurement systems
-Waste management - removal of contaminated, solvent waste from labs in accordance with health and safety requirements
-Glassware management - pre-treatment and operating glasswasher, ensuring glassware is of good standard and replace as necessary
-Sample Disposals - identify and dispose of samples in accordance with sites processes
-Sub-Contractor Coordination - schedule in visiting Engineers under scope and escorting as necessary to labs
-Porterage and administration - collecting deliveries, transporting waste and completing associated documentation
What we are looking for
-Educated to A-Level/Higher in English, Maths & a Science (preferably Chemistry)
-Attention to detail & capability to work methodically to strict processes and procedures
-Preference of individual having worked in GxP or strict regulatory environment but not essential
-Individual with experience of stock management or worked in warehouse environment
-Experience with SAP/MERPs would be advantageous but not essential
-PC literate in office and excel.
-Ability to communicate effectively and foster good working relationships with a wide range of client, internal and external roles
-Driving license required
The role will initially be a FTC - 6months but has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
