We currently have a great opportunity for a Registered Manager to join our Care Plus team at The Sandford Nursing Home, Church Stretton, Shropshire on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Sandford Nursing Home is a place our residents call home. It's a happy, welcoming atmosphere set amongst the Shropshire hills with luxurious accommodation and expert, nursing-led care and we're looking for caring and supportive individuals to join us. We’re looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.
The Role
As a Registered Manager, you will ensure that people receive a flexible and responsive care home and support service which promotes independence and meets needs and aspirations of the residents. You will work with other members of the Care Plus team to provide a high quality and cost-effective service which demonstrates value for money. Additionally, you will grow the service offered by the home within the locality by increasing and maintaining bed occupancy and to be able to offer services to people who need nursing or residential care and to promote career opportunities for local people.
Skills and experience required:
The post holder will be required to be approved by the Care Quality Commission as the Registered Manager.
A qualification in Health and Social Care and /or relevant nursing qualification
A willingness to hold TODDI as a regulated activity on CQC registration
Substantial experience in a supervisory management role within a regulated care service, preferably nursing home care
In depth experience and understanding of CQC Regulatory framework
Substantial experience of managing a diverse staff team, including recruitment, discipline, and grievances and absence management
Financial and budgetary management experience
Ability to deal with difficult situations/individuals with tact and diplomacy in a confidential manner
Demonstrable commitment to excellent customer services in all activities and able to identify resident needs and resolve issues,
Due to the nature of this post, the role is subject to an Enhanced with Adult Barred DBS disclosure.
