Qualifications needed:
· Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
· Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
· Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders
At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting for a Community CAMHS Specialty Doctor position in theMaidstone CAMHS Community Team, based atThe Courtyard, Pudding Lane, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1PA.This is a new post, that has been created to provide high quality care. This post is currently vacant and we wish to recruit to this position as soon as possible.
You will join a substantive CAMHS Consultant, another Specialty Doctor, and a Core Trainee within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.
You will be expected to:
· Workaspartofmultidisciplinaryteamsprovidingcaretochildrenandyoungpeople with mental health needs, across Maidstone.
· Provideseniormedicalsupporttotheteam,anddirectinputonclinicalcases.
· Provideguidanceandsupervisiontotheteam.
· Work directly with children and young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers, and acutehospitals.
· Work alongside the CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists and another Specialty Doctor within the service and share clinical supervision requirements for the core trainee.
· Developlinksalreadyestablishedwiththelocalacutetrusts’A&Edepartments and inpatient wards.
· Beresponsibleforpatientsallocatedtothemandwillassess,manage,plan,and deliver care.
· Offerclinicalsupervisionandteachingtothecoretraineeonplacement.
· Supportyourpeersandtheteammanagerandbeaneffectiveteammember whilst working on their own initiative.
· Supervisejuniorcolleaguesandliaisewithotherhealthandsocialprofessionals and agencies.
