About the Role

The Family Help Team has an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for improving outcomes for children and families. Family Help aims to offer the right support at the right time, working with the whole family to offer practical help, building on strengths and community support to improve daily life positively impacting upon outcomes for children and families. The Keyworker role aims to deliver time-limited periods of support through 1:1, evidence-based group work programmes, clinics, drop-ins, etc. to children, young people and families experiencing a range of issues which impact on family functioning and achievement of good outcomes.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, e.g. social care, health or childcare, OR substantial experience in providing direct support to families that clearly demonstrates the experience, skills, competencies and knowledge outlined in the full Job Description and Person Specification.
  • Experience of working with families experiencing difficulties in parenting or behaviour management.
  • Experience of working with issues of conflict and confrontation and an ability to diffuse difficult situations.
  • Experience of identifying and delivering appropriate evidence-based interventions, groups, and clinics
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency environment
  • Experience of carrying out assessments, support planning, formulating action plans and reporting outcomes
  • Knowledge and awareness of issues which may have an impact on the lives of families such as domestic violence and abuse, mental health difficulties, substance misuse, poverty, housing.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
