Personal Care Assistant 2 vacancies
About Myself
I am a 10 year old young boy who has a diagnosis of Prader-Willi Syndrome and I live in the Merthyr area with my mother. I am able to communicate verbally to share my wants and needs however sometimes I struggle with my emotions when someone annoys or upsets me. This is often when a demand is placed upon me, if clear instructions are not provided and if I am frustrated. The behaviours I sometimes display can be shouting or physically hitting out either at others or myself. In these situations, having space, going for a walk, music or reminding me to breathe can help me to regulate and calm down. My triggers for my behaviour are often associated with food or wanting toys and I also have some allergies.
I can easily get distracted and have no road safety awareness/or any sense of danger, so ensuring my safety when out in the community is very important to remember. I am able to toilet independently.
I enjoy spending time with others and love Pokemon, LOL dolls and music particularly Taylor Swift.
