PA for Our Lovely Non-verbal 11 Year Old Son (Marchmont EH9)
We are looking for someone reliable to look after our 11 year old son for 10 hours a week (although this role could be a job share with 5 hours each) on a Friday afternoon and or Saturday and or Sunday.
Our son is autistic, deaf, has learning disabilities and is non-verbal. Our son is a lovely boy but needs constant supervision and is very sensory. He is very active and likes to go out and about e.g. walks, playground, buses, swimming etc - again with constant supervision. He has a few behaviours which need to be managed so we are looking for someone with previous experience.
Finally he wears hearing aids but mainly uses limited BSL sign to communicate - experience of sign and deaf awareness would be a plus although training can be provided.
As said we are willing to consider this role as a job share if you cannot commit to 10 hours per week but please make this clear on your application.
We live in Edinburgh in Marchmont EH9 and would require references and a PVG is a requirement (willing to pay this expense for the right person) – looking for immediate start.
£12.32-£16 hour dependent on experience.
