Nestled in the breathtaking Esk Valley in the heart of the Lake District, Eskdale Golf Course is a hidden gem offering a truly unique golfing experience. Our course combines stunning natural beauty with a warm, welcoming atmosphere for golfers of all levels.
Our 18-hole course is thoughtfully designed to challenge seasoned players while remaining accessible to newcomers. Surrounded by rolling hills, lush greenery, and tranquil streams, Eskdale provides an unparalleled backdrop for a relaxing yet engaging round of golf.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and groom golf course greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers.
Operate and maintain specialised landscaping equipment such as mowers and trimmers.
Apply fertilisers, herbicides, and other treatments as needed.
Monitor and address drainage and turf health issues.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Assist with general landscaping tasks, including planting and pruning.
Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to deliver exceptional results.
Qualifications
Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf management (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with landscaping equipment and basic maintenance.
Knowledge of turfgrass species and care is a plus.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physically fit and able to perform outdoor manual labor.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
