Band 7 ward manager for community inpatients Milford Hospital An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of B7 Ward Manager for community inpatients at Milford Hospital. Milford Hospital is a 30 bedded sub-acute frailty inpatient hospital that specializes in the care of older people. Milford Hospital sits within the division of adult community health services. As the post holder you will have a passion for patients living with frailty and a drive to enhance the patient experience. Supported by the Matron, you will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team taking responsibility for the delivery of safe, patient centered care. As the post holder you will have previous experience as a band 7 Ward Manager and will be confident to lead a team, working autonomously and under pressure. As the post holder you will lead and manage a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, you will be responsible for the off duty, PDRs and annual leave as well as the ward budget. You will take responsibility for the day to day running of the inpatient hospital and will lead and promote clinical effectiveness and governance, building links between the community hospitals and the Royal Surrey Hospital. As the post holder you will have sound clinical skills and the knowledge to drive and champion Clinical Governance. You will have extensive experience of discharging patients and you will be able to support the Trust during times of operational pressures.
