This is an exciting opportunity to work at Weymouth College as part of the Site Services team. You will be instrumental in providing support with on-going maintenance and small projects of works. You will carry out maintenance requests ensuring the upkeep of the fabric of the buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard. We would expect you to be customer-focused and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Of particular interest would be someone with a strong DIY knowledge or experience in a trade but this is not essential.
This role would suit someone who may have worked in a facilities team before but other backgrounds will be considered.
We also prefer you to have a full driving licence as you may be required to drive our college vehicles at times.
This is a full-time role (37 hours a week) working a weekly shift system & an “on call” rota with some weekend work, although you may be asked to help in the evenings if necessary to cover absences and special events.
Our team prides itself on its excellent customer service and we welcome applications from anyone who thinks they could be a valuable addition.
Please note: interviews will be held in January.
For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Melvyn Mescus at melvyn_mescus@weymouth.ac.uk
