Crynodeb
It is expected that successful candidate will spend most clinical time with IBD and NET patients. Candidate will be strongly encourage to take one other sub-speciality work from ERC , endometriosis or pelvic floor. All three services are regional teritary referral with dedicated teams and MDTs. It is expected that candidate will be part of on-call general surgery at the AUH site which is currently covered by Emergency general surgery team in daytime with speciality consultants contribute to out of hours and weekend general surgery cover. There is also a specialised colorectal cover during the daytime at RLH site. Expected general surgery rota will be 1:20 and colorectal specialised cover is 1:12. It is expected that this may change at some point in the future (later half 2022) as the merger progresses. There is a plan to have all acute on-call general surgery take at AUH site with elective cancer surgeries at the Royal site.
