Make a difference every day as a Workforce Development Officer in Bridgend County Borough Council. Join a friendly team of experienced, motivated, and proactive Workforce Development Officers working across the Adults and Childrens Social Care contributing to promoting a culture of continuing professional development.

You will be driving and supporting the delivery of our learning and development offer for the Adult Direct Care workforce across the borough of Bridgend. You will work in collaboration with managers across internal and external adult social care services to ensure workforce development is delivering responsively to support the achievement of strength-based outcomes for individuals and carers who access care and support services.

You'll take a strategic approach to training, assessing the skills and knowledge across organisations and identify what training is needed to grow and retain these skills. You will commission training alongside designing and facilitating training yourself. You will evaluate training and development programmes and prepare reports for management in areas such as usage, engagement, and performance. You will need a flexible approach to work and an understanding of how diversity and inclusion influences the planning and delivery of training.

If you have experience of working in social care, health, or education, and have been involved in delivering workforce development solutions. Alongside an inclusive people orientated approach, being enthusiastic and positive about helping others develop to achieve their potential, we would leave to hear from you.

Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.

A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
