About the role:
The Fostering Panel Administrator will provide efficient and effective coordination of the fostering panel and support to the fostering panel application process. They will play a key role in the tracking and planning of the fostering application process ensuring that applications, reports and information are provided to panel on schedule. The role will be responsible for the maintenance of trackers in relation to the application process,
the foster carer register and performance data.
About you:
The post holder will have a key attention to detail and be able to prioritise and multi-task to support the complex foster carer application process. They will be able to hold good working relationships with operational teams and act as the point of liaison
between operational teams, legal team and the foster panel schedule. The postholder will have a good IT skillset which they will be able to utilise for tracking the application process, post panel tasks and performance data. They will be able to take accurate minutes of complex discussions held during the fostering panel.
What you will do:
• Setting the meeting dates for the year and organising additional panels and rearrangements as required. Including liaising with Foster Panel Members for their availability.
• Prior to panel ensuring that there will be quoracy.
• The formatting and distribution of invites and Teams calendar invites.
• Organising the schedule for the panel, setting the times for agenda items and liaising with attendees.
• When organising schedule of panel, liaising with Legal and Children’s Social Worker when required in relation to Connected Persons and Viability Assessments to ensure that the panel schedule fits with Court deadlines.
• Preparation of draft agenda and associated tasks
• Distribution of previous minutes, agreed agendas and other papers to Panel Members, Agency Decision Maker and Legal Representative
• Preparation of the hybrid meeting room on panel day
• Attendance at the full day meeting to take minutes and the production of accurate minutes. Fostering Panel includes highly complex discussions around assessments and reviews and can frequently discuss distressing information from applicants backgrounds, reasons why children have come into care and allegations against foster carers.
• Minutes must be produced within timescales, with priority given to court deadlines. To liaise with the Panel Chair and Panel Members for the checking of minutes and undertaking any amendments prior to sending to the Agency Decision
Maker.
