Job Title : Document Controller and Project Administrator
Company Information:
Our Client provide specialist services on new build, maintenance and/or refurbishment projects to a range of industries. The collective goals are: zero accidents, quality product and service provided, completion on-time, completion within budget, and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Controller Duties:
Required to control the Document Management function, supporting ongoing work on a project.
Assist the team lead/senior in delivering Document Management support - Perform prescribed quality check on all documents prior to processing - To process Design & Engineering project documents.
To accurately update information in both Barrier Limited & the Client's electronic document management systems (if applicable)
Circulate documents for review, information, approved etc as per project distribution matrix - Ensure all project deliverables are stored in the system at every revision in all relevant formats - Assist in completing requests, searches and queries from any project personnel.
To liaise with engineers, clients, suppliers or third party companies as required.
Project Administrator Duties:
Filing/photocopying/telephone duties - including answering queries if appropriate or escalating if appropriate/updating files and folders
Dealing with suppliers on a one-to-one basis regarding "non-technical" queries
General administrative assistance to the Engineering & Projects department - Any other ad hoc duties required to assist the Team
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Educated to Standard Grade Level (pref to include Technical/Engineering, English, Science, Maths)
2-years (minimum) experience in a similar role
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines
Excellent organisational skills
Experience Required:
Essential
IT Skills with an appreciation of various applications
Experience in document management activities
Experience of working in electronic document management systems
Understanding of electronic file production & retention
Working with procedures/processed
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D (not essential)
Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment and meet challenging timescales
Knowledge of standard office practices and general administrative duties
Experience of working in an Engineering/Design environment
Desirable:
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D (not essential)
Experience within the Oil & Gas and Marine or sectors
Work Schedule/Hours
Hours: 40hrs - (core hours 8-5 Mon-Thurs & 8-2 Fri but flexible)
Salary and Benefits
£25,000 – £35,000 Per Annum – Dependant on experience
