Morgan Hunt are recruiting an AWS Platform Engineer on a 12 month contract.



Essential skills for the role include the following:



Significant and demonstrable commercial experience of the following:

  • Designing and building working software, deploying to cloud using PaaS and SaaS
  • Working as a consumer of platform services in a community of developers

    Producing software services for business people to use
  • JavaScript UI frameworks, specifically React
  • AWS Serverless and cloud native architecture
  • CI/CD methodology and native AWS CI/CD tooling
  • Defining infrastructure and processes as code
  • Applying automated testing to AWS environments and build processes
  • Introducing new efficient processes or concepts within the AWS environment
  • Working with the business, to understand the context, and to focus on delivering value
  • Working in the agile delivery models - such as Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks
  • AWS Shield Advanced, WAFv2, AWS Firewall Manager
  • AWS Lambda, CDK, S3, Cloud Formation, API Gateway, EC2, AMIs
  • GuardDuty, Transit Gateway, AWS Config, Route53, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Codepipeline, CodeArtifact,
  • Containerised platforms, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate
  • Python, Bash
  • Git, CodeArtifact, OpenSearch
  • AWSLinux
  • Experience with AWS Security and Networks



    £580 per day

    Outside IR35

    12 month contract

    Glasgow or Edinburgh hybrid working
