Premises & Caretaking Operative
Permanent Full Time, 52 weeks per year, 5 days a week.
Start date: January 2025 (Can be flexible for the right candidate)
Founded in 1918, Bickley Park School is an IAPS Independent co-educational day school for children aged 2 ½ to 13, with over 300 pupils on roll. The school is situated in London's greenest London Borough, on the fringes of Kent and with excellent train links to central London. The Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory sites are located three hundred metres apart on Page Heath Lane in Bromley
Bickley Park School is seeking to recruit a Premises & Caretaking Operative to play a key role in the effective management, maintenance, and upkeep of the school site and to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and compliant environment for all staff, pupils, and visitors.
The role is full-time working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, exact hours to be discussed and agreed with The Estates Manager to meet the needs of the School (the school site is typically open between 7.00am and 7.00pm). There will occasionally be some additional out of hours work (evenings/weekends) with an allowance paid. Start and finish times will be discussed and agreed at interview.
Previous experience in a premises maintenance or facilities management role, preferably in a school, education or leisure establishment would be beneficial. Candidates will also need to possess a clean driving licence. Further details including the responsibilities and skills for the role can be found in the job description.
