Summary
Work alongside Principle Investigators and the research team to assist in the delivery of a high quality research service of clinical expertise, professional advice, support, guidance and education to the multi-professional team, patients and carers within the research service Develop a sound understanding of research design methodology and have awareness of current national systems and structures for the approval, management and monitoring of clinical research in the NHS Evaluate patient eligibility and recruit to neonatal trials with suitable training and in accordance with GCP guidelines The post-holder will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to research subjects and their families, in partnership with the multi disciplinary team The ability to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care is essential, as is the ability to manage own workload, problem solve and use initiative The post holder must have excellent IT and database skills Competent to check and administer IV, SC and oral medication and understand the importance of blinding in studies involving IMP's The appointee will also be required to process biological samples They should be adaptable, flexible and show initiative. In addition they need to show good communication skills, be able to liaise with all levels of staff, demonstrate good organisation skills and attention to detail, have good time management skills and be flexible as the working hours may not be fixed and will include cross-site and occasional weekend work
