We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Geography Teacher to join our team in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Geography to students of all levels and backgrounds.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Masters in Geography or related field
- Excellent subject knowledge in Geography
- Resilience and ability to adapt to different teaching challenges
- Effective behaviour management techniques
- Patience and empathy towards students
- Experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level
- Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) or inclusive education
The Geography Teacher role is full-time, and the successful candidate will work on a daily rate basis. The working hours are standard school hours, with additional time required for lesson planning and assessment. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
