Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fixer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting out and fixing steel reinforcement in concrete structures, ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required materials and dimensions for steel reinforcement
- Cut, bend, and position steel bars or mesh to reinforce concrete structures
- Secure steel bars in place with wire ties, clips, or welds
- Inspect and repair existing steel structures as needed
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards in the steel fixing process
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or similar role
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of steel fixing techniques and materials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the role
- Valid certification in steel fixing is a plus
