Crynodeb
As a Senior Programme Manager in the Hospital Policy Team within the Integrated Urgent and Emergency Care Team, the post holder will lead on the development of hospital policy, best practice guidance and products to support improvements in the delivery of care to patients in the UEC hospital pathways. This will include critical stakeholder engagement work with the National Clinical Directors and Regional Clinical Advisors, regional, ICB and Trust staff across the NHS. This role will contribute critical knowledge and expertise in hospital policy to the hospitals programme team and lead on development of key hospital policies to support significant transformational change in hospitals throughout England. The post holder will be responsible for their own policy areas within the programme based on business plan priorities. The role will be able to provide key aspects of senior programme management, policy development and delivery of the business plan priorities, including organisation, development, implementation and evaluation of strategy and corporate priorities. The post holder will: Lead on development of key hospital policies and products to support flow, improve pathways and reduce unwarranted variation in acute hospitals Work with Trusts to create best practice resources and case studies to support improvement Lead on engagement and work collaboratively with key stakeholders, Regions, ICBs and Trusts to ensure development of high quality clinically driven policies and products to meet the needs of organisations and stakeholders Have contributed to hospital policy development Be experienced in working in acute hospitals in the urgent and emergency care pathway Be experienced in interpreting data and using it to inform decision making / policy Have an in depth understanding of key stakeholders needs, as well as experience working with key stakeholders and partners to deliver the national ambitions. Liaise with other key teams and functions to support national implementation and delivery of published policies Provide subject matter expertise towards the development of best practice methodologies, policies and strategies Ensure progress reporting, risk and issue management, managing the relevant programme delivery teams business support function, developing and maintaining the teams project or programme scope, PID and plan is delivered and monitored to a high standard.
