Helena Biosciences is an in vitro diagnostics manufacturer, specialising in electrophoresis and haemostasis instrumentation and assays. Our products help to diagnose and treat diseases, such as Multiple Myeloma and Deep Vein Thrombosis, in healthcare laboratories around the world.
Technical Services is responsible for ensuring the experience of all customers and business partners interacting with Helena products and services exceeds industry standards.
This is an entry level position within a multidisciplinary team focused on customer support.
Technical Support Scientist
The primary role of the Technical Support Scientist is to ensure our customers have the highest quality technical support.
This position is responsible for logging, investigating, and resolving customer complaints related to our electrophoresis and haemostasis equipment and assays. The ability to design, carry out, and report complex scientific investigations is at the core of this position.
Essential skills:
• BSc in a scientific discipline
• Enthusiastic and hardworking
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Team oriented mindset
• Ability to design, carry out, and report complex scientific investigations
• Communicate complex scientific information effectively
• Excellent customer service skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Available for occasional travel within the UK
Desirable Skills:
• Previous experience in a technical support role
• Understanding of laboratory healthcare and / or in vitro diagnostics
• Knowledge of Haemostasis, Immunology, Haematology, or Biochemistry
• Understanding of Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) / networking solutions
• Full UK driving license
