Carbon 60 is looking to recruit a Pensions Administrator for its public sector client in Bedford

Pay rate is £11.44ph PAYE

Working hours are 9.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday (25 paid hours)

This role is due to start on 2nd December. This will last a minimum of 3 months with the probability of this being extended

JOB PURPOSE:

The job purpose is to work within a team in Pensions Administration to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of records / information in all areas

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Undertake calculations in respect of all Transfer Values, both incoming and outgoing, Preserved Benefits in line with the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations and complete all the necessary documentation required to process the above.
  • Calculate refund of pension contribution.
  • Ensure that contributor and pensioner records are established and maintained.
  • Understand and adhere to statutory legislation relating to data protection.
  • Promote effective working relationships within the Council
  • Dealing with, and taking action on enquiries by telephone or correspondence, sending standard and non standard letters and emails.
  • Undertake any necessary training in relation to this post
  • Contribute to team meetings.
  • Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required.

You will need

  • Educated to GCSE grade C in Maths and English
  • Some payroll or pensions experience
  • A working knowledge of local government pension scheme
