Summary
Completions/Closeout Supervisor (E&I Bias) – Air Separation Unit
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Completions/Closeout Supervisor with a strong Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) bias to join our client’s team at the Alloa Air Separation Unit (ASU) project. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of the project closeout, ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient completion of electrical and instrumentation systems in line with project specifications, standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Closeout Coordination:
- Lead and manage the closeout activities for E&I systems within the Air Separation Unit.
- Develop and implement completion plans, punch lists, and handover schedules in alignment with project timelines.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and QA/QC teams to ensure seamless closeout processes
Electrical and instrumentation Scope:
- Supervise the inspection, testing, and verification of E&I systems, including power distribution, control panels, PLCs, and field instruments.
- Ensure compliance with project designs, technical specifications, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE)
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations throughout all closeout activities.
- Identify, track, and close all punch list items related to E&I installations.
- Prepare and review as-built documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy for handover to the client.
- Supervise and guide a team of E&I technicians and subcontractors during the completion phase.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and process engineering disciplines.
- Provide leadership to resolve technical challenges, ensuring efficient resource utilisation.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Compile and submit completion dossiers, including test certificates, inspection records, and O&M manuals.
- Generate progress reports.
- Liaise with the client to provide regular updates on project status and closeout milestones.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in E&I systems, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role during project completions/closeout phases.
- Proven track record on Air Separation Units or similar industrial gas production facilities.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of E&I systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings (P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics).
- Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ATEX, etc.) and HSE best practices.
