Description
General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Material Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Team, based in Merthyr, South Wales. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £27,000 to £30,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally. Joining an established team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and management of work orders that are generated in order to meet demands for vehicle builds. If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:- Raising of works orders for the re-work or uplift of parts that will be generated either from parts that are located in stock or parts that require rework or uplift from MRB (Material Review Board)
- Rework will be undertaken either internally at GD or externally with suppliers.
- Undertake the responsibility of rolling up of works orders within the system for EA to ensure the parts are declared configured at the appropriate build stage.
- Working closely with the PMC team and procurement team within supply chain
- Experience of working with in material management that includes systems management advantageous
- Accuracy of information is critical that requires attention to detail
- Experience in Oracle or similar systems will be an advantage
- Self starter and individual that can work independently and as part of a team
