Position Details:
Job Title: GCSE English Lecturer
Location: Portsmouth
Hours: Part-time (32 hours)
Start Date: TBC (pending interview)
Contract Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: £150 p/d
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for GCSE English Lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles
- Provide mentorship, support, and constructive feedback to students, fostering their academic growth and enthusiasm for science
- Stay informed about the latest advancements, research, and teaching strategies in GCSE English Lecturing to enhance learning experiences
Requirements:
- Proven experience in teaching GCSE English, with strong subject knowledge and practical expertise in the field
- Previous experience as a Lecturer or similar teaching role, preferably within a college setting
- Minimum GCSE qualifications in Maths and English
- Certification in teaching or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- A valid DBS check registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for one
