Summary

The Welfare VA is accountable for the provision of veterinary advise on welfare and scientific evidence as appropriate. The Welfare VA will be working with the veterinary colleagues and the welfare scientific advisor to deliver excellence in expert veterinary and scientific welfare advice. The VA will support the development and implementation of veterinary and public health policies and measures.

The VAs will carry out duties commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.

These will include, but not limited to the following:

Supporting and enabling service delivery (where appropriate these will be delivered in partnership with other VAs and GVSs).
Leadership and managing change.
Resilience and risk management.
Stakeholder management.
Rotas.
