Supervise food preparation processes to guarantee adherence to health and safety regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
Collaborate with other departments to create special menus for events or seasonal offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
Assist in sourcing high-quality ingredients while managing food costs effectively.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and food safety regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes or menu items.
