Crynodeb

CAGE is an established research centre based in the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick, and has recently been awarded £7.1 million by the Economics and Social Research Council (ESRC) to continue its research programme for the next five years.

The Centre has the goal of expanding the scope of modern ‘evidence-based policy’. Our research seeks to incorporate insights about social norms, culture, implicit incentives and historical legacies into policy development and evaluation. In short, the aim of our research is make ‘what works’ work. See the CAGE website www.warwick.ac.uk/cage for more information about the Centre’s work.

This is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position where the successful candidate will be able to pursue their own independent research in areas that overlap with the CAGE research centre’s areas of focus. These areas include most prominently: economic history, political economy, behavioural economics, ‘computational social science’ and data science, public/labour economics and gender economics.

You will have access to the resources of the CAGE research centre, as well as many collaborative opportunities in the Warwick Economics Department.

Finally, we will offer proper, serious mentoring to early career researchers: senior faculty will read/comment on your work in depth and give meaningful strategic career advice.

It is projected that the post would start in October 2025 and can last between 1-3 years depending on mutual preferences. There is flexibility with regard to the start date
