The Best Connection Bedford are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse/Contracts Manager for our prestigious client just outside of Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity to work with the existing team to drive operational standards and contribute to the success of our client in their new facility.
Hours:
Core shift times are Monday - Friday 14.30 - 23.00hrs
Flexibility is required to meet business requirements
Pay rate:
£15.10 per hour - £16.15 per hour
Key responsibilities:
Act as Senior staff member, managing the team, client orders and Warehouse management systems to drive business improvements including intake, picking, packing and dispatching stock accurately and to schedule.
Develop, train and motivate new and existing team members to support management and supervisors and also lead team self-development on tasks and duties in the warehouse.
Ensure that all health and safety protocol and warehouse safety management systems are observed and followed to the highest standard
Monitor and develop staff productivity, including accuracy and safety of stock control to existing and projected business needs
Maintain positive and strong relationships with suppliers and drive operational efficiency within the warehouse
Operate MHE Equipment - Forklift and mechanical handling equipment following health and safety and utilising safe methods of storage.
Requirements of the Team Leader
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Good accuracy and organisational skills with prior experience of leading stock takes, auditing and warehouse management systems including ISO 9001 and above
Ability to work to target and to tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills with the capability to lead and support the team to achieve targets - Operationally and financially
Must have a full clean driving license, own transport and valid Counterbalance, Flexi-Bendi and/or PPT licence
Excellent IT Skills with working knowledge of warehouse management software and CRM systems to produce reports and analyse data to inform business/financial decisions
