Summary

Job Title: Deputy Manager - Care

Salary *: £15.36ph - Plus a 10% SMART objectives bonus paid quarterly

What You Will Be Doing:

Leadership & Care Management: You will be working closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high standards of care to all residents. Your role will be integral in leading and motivating the care team to provide the best possible care experience.
Care Planning: Oversee the completion and regular review of care plans for residential residents, ensuring they meet the required standards.
Medication Management: You will ensure that medication is handled safely and competently by all team members, including conducting regular audits.
Team Development: Leading by example, you will support and develop your team, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure the home meets regulatory requirements and internal policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and person-centred care practices.
Resident Wellbeing: You will actively work to enhance the overall wellbeing of residents by promoting dignity, respect, and a compassionate environment.

What You Will Need:

Professional Qualification: A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in a residential or nursing home setting, with at least one year of experience working with people living with dementia.
Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of Person-Centred Care, safeguarding, and dementia care.
Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead a team effectively, with excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility & Commitment: A willingness to work flexibly and contribute positively to the development of the home and its residents.
Desirable Experience: Two years' experience in a senior role in a nursing home and experience in supervising a team. An NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care is preferred.
