Crynodeb
The post holder will be responsible for reviewing appeals and retrospective assessments of patients to identify eligibility for NHS Funded Health Care including entitlement for funding in respect of NHS Continuing Health Care and Funded Nursing care. The post holder will use specialist knowledge and clinical skills to ensure that co-ordination and outcomes are determined in a consistent manner to ensure effective application and interpretation of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Health Care and NHS Funded Nursing Care. The post holder will require excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with patients, their families and other professionals. The production of accurate, detailed and comprehensive reports is essential. The post holder will analyse documentation from hospitals, community services and care homes to develop systems and processes to facilitate a smooth process and responses to a range of stakeholders. The post holder will retrospectively review the clinical needs of the patient with regard to appropriateness of the placement, level of care being provided and entitlement to NHS Health Care.
