**EXCITING OPPORTUNITY**
We at Paws Cafe are looking to recruit new Team Members to join our cat loving team. Paws Cafe is Shropshire's First Cat Cafe (you read that right!). We have 11 resident cats. Customers book in a time slot, and we ensure they have a wonderful time with our cats while enjoying drinks and cakes.

IMPORTANT: It's not all about cuddling cats (that's for our customers!), you must be able to achieve all our essential attributes listed below:
>Customer Service Experience, >Previous employment in retail/hospitality,
>Confident around children, >Experience in caring for cats at home or for a job,
>Confident in handling and grooming cats, >Aware of hygiene requirements,
>Excellent time keeping, >Understanding of dietary requirements,
>Computer and Social Media Literate
You as the Team Member MUST work in four main areas:
Reception- Our team members must have an excellent attitude to customer service, high levels of communication skills, computer and social media literate. The candidate must also be confident using an electronic POS device and be trustworthy when dealing with money. The reception is our first point of contact with all our customers and where they see into the Cafe for the first time. It’s essential that they are greeted in a polite and friendly manner, and given all the information they require to fully enjoy their stay.
Cafe/Barista- All applicants will be required to make and serve a selection of drinks & cakes, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service in all customer areas. We also offer our customers a Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten free and a variety of milk options. Prior knowledge of these options is essential as we want to ensure our customers are confident in the dietary choices they have made. Hygienic practice whilst working in this area is a priority, every business operates slightly differently so training will be given.
Housekeeping- Ensuring that the Cafe is clean and tidy is an obvious requirement. However ensuring there is no cross contamination from our cats to humans, and vice versa is essential. We must ensure that all customers either remove their shoes or wear the shoe protectors provided. Maintaining a clear divide between the two cat and human areas, even when washing hands and equipment is essential.
Cat Nanny- Our most important part! Being a Cat nanny! Our cats welfare is priority, and as a cat nanny you will be responsible for ensuring all customers are adhering to the Cafe rules so our cats remain happy and healthy. Monitoring exercises will take place during every shift, which will enable us to understand the cat’s mood and diet. This will be essential as it will make us aware of any issues as soon as they arise. Even if the Cafe is closed our cats still need to be looked after and given the care and affection they need. This will mean cleaning 12 litter trays!
