Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an 11-18 coeducational secondary school and Sixth Form, graded 'GOOD', with an 'OUTSTANDING' Sixth Form during Ofsted's most recent visit. The school are seeking to educators to join them on a predominantly adhoc basis, to cover periods of absence amongst permanent teaching staff. The school is easily accessible by car or public transport and is located just a 10-minute walk from Chichester train station.
Teaching Personnel are working with the school to find suitable educators to assist with cover during periods of staff absence. Ideally, you will regularly be in the same schools which will be based throughout Chichester and the surrounding areas, therefore will build strong working relationships with schools and pupils. As a substitute teacher with Teaching Personnel, you can reap the benefits such as a flexible, interchangeable weekly diary, an easy approach with app-notified bookings in the mornings as well as prebooked work to help you feel prepared ahead of time, weekly pay every Friday through PAYE, competitive rates of pay and a dedicated personal consultant as your direct contact.
The duties of a substitute teacher can be summarised as:
- Supervising the work that has been set on the lesson plan provided, using the necessary resources that have also been provided.
- Managing the behaviour of pupils in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies in line with school policy and procedures.
