In this vital role, you will provide exceptional post-operative care to patients recovering from various ENT surgical procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities: Patient Monitoring: Closely monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory status, to ensure stable recovery. Post-Operative Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments upon patient arrival in the recovery area, identifying any immediate complications or concerns related to the surgery. Pain Management: Administer prescribed pain relief medications and assess their effectiveness, adjusting as necessary to ensure optimal patient comfort. Patient Education: Provide comprehensive education on post-operative care, including wound care, activity restrictions, and signs of potential complications. Communication: Collaborate with the surgical team to relay important information regarding the patient's condition and any observed changes during recovery. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, medication administration, and recovery progress in compliance with hospital protocols. Emotional Support: Offer reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or anxieties during the recovery process. Discharge Planning: Assist in planning for patient discharge, ensuring they have the necessary resources and follow-up appointments, and confirming their understanding of post-operative instructions.
