What will I be doing:
- assist in the surveying of all County Council properties to comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012).
- the completion of Asbestos Surveys, which are undertaken to identify the location of materials within properties, assess them and compile an Asbestos Register of any identified materials with appropriate analysis, information and recommendations.
- the completion of ‘Demolition/Refurbishment Asbestos Surveys’ prior to demolition or major refurbishment work within all County buildings. Working to deadlines and within HSG 264 (The Surveyors Guide), the job will involve travel throughout Derbyshire, for which a van and necessary tools and equipment will be provided.
What skills and experience do you need to have:
The successful applicant will need to have a good working knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel and have the ability to compile detailed reports and documentation for asbestos surveys.
