An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pennine Memory Assessment Service. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Health Care Assistant with a genuine interest in older adult mental health and working with people with dementia. The team specialises in completing comprehensive assessments, early diagnosis, signposting to post diagnostic support and commencement of treatment (When appropriate) for people with a suspected dementia.

As a Health Care Assistant you will work closely with Mental Health Practitioners / Non Medical Prescribers and as part of the wider multidisciplinary team. The post holder will support the team with monitoring compliance to prescribed medications, to complete basic nursing observations (Including a pulse and blood pressure) and reporting back to the service’s prescriber any side effects.
The role will also assist other aspects of the service including supporting clinicians with the initial assessments and administrative tasks.
The role will involve participating in multi-disciplinary team discussions and maintaining the medication monitoring patient spreadsheet.

The successful candidate will be based at Gannow Lane Resource Centre but will also be required to work in clinics across East Lancashire and complete service user home visits as per the needs of the service.
