Furnace Operator
Leeds, LS10
£11.44 per hour (rising to £12.10 after training), weekly pay
Full Time, Monday to Friday
Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client based in LS10 to recruit for a Furnace Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative world leader in their industry and the role will become permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
· Supporting the Furnace Supervisor in the running and checking of the furnaces
· Starting up and shutting down the furnace
· Monitoring and adjusting the furnace control panel as and when required
· Dealing with any production faults
· Cleaning out vacuums and filters
· Ensuring production targets are reached and recording average stats and totals produced
· General fault finding and troubleshoot whilst the furnace is running
· Communicating and liaising with engineers and managers
You will need:
· Previous experience in a similar role (desired not essential)
· Basic understanding of electrical systems
· Basic computer literacy including MS Excel
· A hard working and reliable work ethic
· Flexibility to weekends (and nights when required)
· Good health and safety ethic
· Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Working Hours:
· Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm
· Weekend work and 12-hour shifts and night shifts during busy periods
· Overtime paid on all hours over 39 per week
