Summary

Are you able to inspire and enthuse students to access the volunteering opportunities that exist locally, nationally and internationally?

Are you focused on enabling students to succeed and achieve their ambitions?

If so, this role in the Student Futures team at Teesside University may be for you.

This is an exciting time to join a vibrant, growing team focussed on driving forward a holistic, student-centred approach to delivering employability activities. Having launched our new Access and Participation Plan and recently won the targetjobs National Recruitment Award for Best Employability Strategy 2024 the team work collaboratively with colleagues, employers and our community to deliver our vision.

We are not fixed on the successful candidate having experience of working in a Careers Service, this role may be of particular interest to recruitment or development specialists who are wishing to use their talents to make an impact in a higher education setting. We are however fixed on seeking an individual who can demonstrate a track record of innovation and collaboration with others to deliver results. This individual will need the confidence and gravitas to partner with colleagues from across the University and key volunteering organisations externally.

Does this sound of interest? If so, we look forward to receiving your application. For any informal enquiries please contact d.hay@tees.ac.uk

Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post will not qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.

If you are shortlisted, your interview will take place in person. Please note that the University may ask you to participate in a number of selection activities as part of the recruitment process for this vacancy.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 11 December 2024.
