Crynodeb
Role: We are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to work within our varied scope of clients and their estates carrying out, service, fault diagnosis, reactive repairs and installation of gas fired domestic and commercial appliances, installation and tightness testing of domestic and commercial gas installations and Gas Safety inspections. The Gas Engineer will be expected to complete works in compliance of Gas Safety Use and Installation Regulations, British Standards and Industry Codes of Practice and ensuring all relevant gas certification is accurately and satisfactorily completed. From time to time, you may be expected to complete other duties such as plumbing, minor electrical works, controls and building fabric. I've left out reporting structure and call out to be added to suit business.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be qualified to either City & Guilds level 2 and 3 or NVQ level 2 and 3 in either plumbing or heating and ventilation as well as the following ACS gas modules.
Domestic:
-CCN-1 Core domestic gas safety including CPA-1.
-CENWAT Central heating boilers & instantaneous water heaters
-CKR-1 Domestic cooking appliances.
-HTR-1 Domestic open, balanced & fan flue, gas fires and heaters.
-DAH-1 Domestic gas fired air heaters of up to 70KW.
-CKHB-1 Domestic gas range cooker boilers.
-HWB-1 Gas fired hot water boilers 15-40KW
-DFDA-1 Forced draught burners in domestic dwellings
-MET-1 Domestic gas meters up to 6m3.
Non-domestic:
-COCN-1 Core commercial gas safety or CODNCO-1 Changeover from domestic to commercial.
-BMP-1 Gas boosters.
-CDGA-1 Direct fired heaters.
-CIGA-1 Indirect fired heating appliances and equipment.
-CORT-1 Overhead radiant plaque & radiant tube heaters.
-ICPN-1 Installation first fix of commercial pipe work.
-TPCP-1A Testing and purging commercial pipework < 1m3.
-TPCP-1 Testing and purging of commercial pipework > 1m3.
Other desirable qualifications:
-Nondomestic meters ACS modules.
-LPG ACS modules.
-OFTEC qualifications.
-L8 Legionella Awareness.
-IOSH Working Safely.
-Air Conditioning.
