Job Overview:

As a Warehouse Operative at Merlin Power, you will be a critical part of our operational team, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of our business processes. Your role encompasses a broad spectrum of tasks, from warehouse management to warranty handling, kitting support, and general building maintenance. Your dedication and meticulous approach will uphold our standards of excellence. Your commitment and attention to detail will help maintain our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

Receive incoming goods and conduct quality checks on components.
Organise and maintain stock locations, ensuring inventory freshness.
Accurately pick and pack orders.
Dispatch goods, providing tracking details to customers.
Perform routine stock checks.
Resolve dispatch-related issues.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and tidiness, including regular dusting and under-rack cleaning.
Enforce strict adherence to Health & Safety policies.
Conduct daily checks and maintenance of the fork-lift truck.

Warranty Handling:

Receive and unpack warranty packages.
Log warranties and perform initial inspections.
Conduct first-level testing and replacements.
Pack and dispatch warranty items while keeping customers informed.

Kitting Support:

Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator and Production Operative to ensure efficient production job kitting.
Provide shortfall reports to the administration.
Assist in production tasks and packaging of finished products as required.

General Role:

Assume overall responsibility for building maintenance, including cleaning, repairs, redecorations, and fixture installations.
Ensure operational functionality of lighting and other systems.
Maintain the external appearance of the building.
Manage waste disposal, including recycling and handling of WEEE.
Serve as a key holder, responsible for daily building unlocking and locking.
Respond to alarms with additional compensation for out-of-hours call-outs.

Administrative Tasks:

Answer telephone calls and route them efficiently.
Be adaptable and willing to take on diverse responsibilities.
Develop an understanding of our products to facilitate proper identification and handling.
Any other reasonable task or duty as requested by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Product Knowledge: Willingness and ability to learn about our products.
Warehouse Management: Prior experience in warehouse operations is advantageous.
Technical Skills: An up-to-date forklift license is required.
Maintenance Skills: General building maintenance and repair abilities.
Adaptability: Be adaptable and willing to take on diverse responsibilities.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits:

Starting Salary: £25,000 per annum with quarterly reviews. In addition to your base salary, Merlin Power offers a competitive group commission/bonus scheme, providing the opportunity to increase your earnings based on team performance. This program rewards your dedication and contribution to our success.
Working Hours: 0830-1730 Mon-Thurs, 0830-1400 Fridays. One hour for lunch/break Mon-Thurs and half-an-hour on Friday's.
Holiday: 25 working days plus statutory bank holidays.

Training provided. With agreement from Management, external qualifications and training may be provided with an appropriate tie-in reflective of the costs of training. Your career growth and development are important to us.
