WR Fundraising Recruitment is over the moon to be working with one of the UK’s most loved heritage and conservation charities.

The charity does such vital and varied work across the UK with programmes including building and environmental conservation and we’re looking for a fundraiser with a shared passion to join a small team in this newly created role.

It’s an exciting time to join an established team who having such a positive impact for the charity and we’re looking for a fundraiser to share that journey.

Focussing on Trusts and to a lesser extent Major Donors, the remit of the role is to develop an emerging fundraising stream from trusts, foundations and individuals – looking at gifts of up to £10,000.
The charity has a very loyal supporter base and brilliant stewardship skills are key for this role.

You’ll be supported by excellent training opportunities, a close-knit team and a really engaged board of trustees.

Some travel will be required for site visits, meetings and events to engage supporters and prospects face to face with our varied work throughout the UK

Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle is necessary for this role.

Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Major Donors)
Permanent, Full Time
Berkshire with hybrid working
£30,000 per annum plus benefits

Duties will include:
• Trusts and grant prospect research, writing proposals, case studies and update reports
• Lead on all communications and appeals to small and mid-level trusts (up to £10k).
• Manage a portfolio of larger trusts & foundations (£10k+) with the Development Manager
• Manage a portfolio of donors to projects and appeals
• Develop compelling fundraising proposals to support heritage conservation projects, appeals and other areas of work including environmental sustainability, craft skills, public access and engagement
• Act as lead contact for a small portfolio of individual supporters

The ideal candidate will have:
• Track record in winning funds through bids and applications to grant giving and statutory bodies
• Experience of working across an organisation to develop funding proposals for new projects or areas of work.
• First class, demonstrable written communication skills with the ability to write compelling and innovative proposals and funding reports
• Strong interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills
