Loughtons Little Angels Preschool are looking for a Level 3 nursery apprentice to join the team and become a qualified practitioner.
Duties include;
To provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment, both indoors and outdoors at all times.
To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 2-5 years.
Ensure the setting is a safe environment for children, staff and visitors.
Developing good partnerships with parents/carers and outside agencies. To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Manager/Deputy Manager and to complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.
Take part in observations and assessments of a child's learning and development
Be an allocated Key Person for designated children in the setting
Cover and support snack times
Assist with hygiene needs such as nappy changes
Complete comprehensive risk assessments
Participate in group activities, including circle time
Maintain accurate, up to date records
To deliver the EYFS appropriately
Liaise with parents/carers regarding children’s progress
To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed. In accordance with the preschool aims and objectives
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Loughton's Little Angels Preschool will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Loughton's Little Angels Preschool’s dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications required
To hold or be able to achieve English and mathematics GCSEs at level C or above.

Qualification / Standard : ST0135 Early years educator
Duration 15 Months
