Summary

FM Conway is looking for a M5 Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Light division based from our Stevenage depot. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts. As our M5 Traffic Management Operative you will work as part of a team to carry out a range of services including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining and removing traffic management. By joining FM Conway you will be entitled to a wide range of benefits, a competitive salary and a weekend uplift of £10 per shift. Opportunities for over time and night work will be regularly available at an industry leading rate.

The duties of the M5 Traffic Management Operative role will include:

-Setting up temporary traffic lights as required

-Assisting with the diversion of traffic

-Maintaining and removing the traffic lights within the required time scale

-Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring public are abiding by lights

-Working closely with management and crews and taking instructions from the management team

-Ensuring that sites are safe and carrying out on site assessments

-Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate people are notified

-To be on call, out of hours on a rota basis if required

What skills and experience do you need?

To be considered for this role you will have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card and a traffic management Lantra M5 operative ticket. You must also be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and be aware and comply with the provided RAMS.
