Crynodeb
To conduct assessment sessions and decide on an appropriate contract of psychosexual or psychological therapy or to refer on to other disciplines or specialist services To undertake ongoing, but time limited, psychosexual counselling sessions To undertake psychological interventions to address issues relating to sex and intimacy. To undertake psychological interventions to support people living with HIV or affected by STIs. To seek medical advice or refer clients for medical assessment when necessary. To manage a specialist case load by providing weekly or fortnightly psychosexual therapy to clients. To work with both individual and couples. To provide an environment that is sensitive, confidential and non-judgemental. To work with interpreters when necessary. To attend monthly supervision sessions and monthly psychosexual team meetings To be a member of COSRT (College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists), UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) or other relevant professional organisation and to work within their Code of Ethics. To liaise with other professionals within the multidisciplinary team.
