Crynodeb
The position is based in an HGV Haulage yard in Felixstowe, Suffolk.
The hours of work are 0700-1730, 5 days a week with a 1-hour lunch break. One of the days required to work will be a Saturday and there will be a day given off in the week.
The main duties include,
-To assist in the washing of the HGV's, trailers, and company vehicles.
-Daily walk round checks of the yard and weekly checks on Pool vehicles.
-Keeping the yard clean and tidy.
-Keeping the yard / wash equipment well maintained.
-Keeping the Office well maintained and carry out repairs where necessary
-Gritting the yard and walkways in the cold months.
-Assisting the fleet department with equipment in the yard. This may include
removing decals from trucks and trailers, changing bulbs in trucks and jump starting vehicle on cold mornings
-Occasional driving duties in our company vehicles.
Full training will be given on site and relevant PPE will be provided by the company.
No experience is necessary, but a general knowledge of handyman skills would be advantageous to assist in the role.
A full UK driving licence will be required for the job.
