Job Description:
Duties, includes (a)keeping the deities housing and its drainage neat and tidy, (b)decorating the deities, (c) converse with the congregation and explain rituals to them (d) making pirasatham for the deities and devotees (e) actively participating on various Temple rituals, wedding ceremonies, remembrance ceremonies all conducted with special emphasis on Saivaism according to the traditions in Tamil Nadu (in India).

Qualifications and Skills:
At least three years’ work experience in a similar capacity in a reputed temple
Working knowledge of Hinduism with emphasis on Saivaism
Track record of participating in the planning and carrying out temple rituals Homam, Hindu weddings
Ability to build relationships and to work with religious workers from diverse backgrounds
Speak Tamil and either Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and basic English.
Ability to address on religious topics to devotees.
Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping devotees in needs.
Parasakthi Hindu Temple Trust is a Hindu Religious charity that runs Sri Raja Rajeswary Temple in Stoneleigh, Surrey for the Goddess Sri Raja Rajeswary and Lord Shiva. The devotees visit the temple from all over the UK, Europe and also from all over the world. The temple also has a number of other deities. The Temple also provides free food (annadhanam/prasadham) to the devotees in the afternoon and evening and we offer neivedhyam to the deities two times a day.
Sri Raja Rajeswary Amman Temple has been established since 1994 and provides a place of worship for our Hindu congregation from all parts of England.
