Grade 14 £45,441 - £46,464

Permanent

37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

6 Knowsley Place and agile working (typically 2 days per week in the office - Mondays & Thursdays)


Come and help us transform support and opportunities for Bury people with learning disabilities; and autistic people! We have an exciting opportunities to join our commissioning team.

The post will:

  • Be responsible for commissioning services from a range of Care Providers (e.g. for young people 18 -25 years, for people with complex and challenging behaviour).
  • Contribute to; and implement commissioning strategies which deliver change (e.g. lead workshops with social workers, providers and residents to understand the needs of autistic people)
  • Lead on the creation of innovative approaches to high quality, affordable and outcomes focused services (e.g. work with providers to ensure people are encouraged to develop their strengths and skills so they can live as independently as possible).

You will have a thorough knowledge of legislation governing social care; and of national and local strategies which are relevant to health and social care needs. Having a good knowledge of commissioning and strategy, you have excellent communication and negotiation skills, which will make sure that outcomes are achieved through joint working. Solution-focused, you will have experience of working with people at different levels within an organisation and also of working with complex information.Staff development includes access to coaching and development opportunities e.g. apprenticeships.
