About the role

THIS IS AN INTERNAL OPPORTUNITY THEREFORE OPEN TO BRANDON TRUST EMPLOYEES ONLY AND NOT EXTERNAL CANDIDATES AT PRESENT

As the Learning Compliance Lead, you will oversee the coordination of training programs within the Learning and Development team alongside the Operational Learning Manager. Your role will ensure that all learning initiatives meet industry and legal compliance standards, while supporting the planning and smooth execution of training across the organisation.

This is a full-time role where you will be required to work both from home and our office based in Bristol at least 2 days per week along with working at other sites as and when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and monitor accurate records of staff training, ensuring that all required certifications and qualifications are current and properly documented.
  • Conduct regular audits of training compliance, ensuring alignment with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure data compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
  • Work with the Learner Management System to ensure relevant courses are held in each area.

  • Liaise with internal trainers and Learning and Development Manager to manage the effectiveness of training.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, compliance, wider learning and development and operational teams to address any training gaps or needs.

About you

You would have experience operating in a small team and engaging confidently with senior managers and stakeholders, along with experience in multi-tasking and experience of working in a compliance management role.

  • Methodical approach / excellent organisational skills; able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office - able to maintain spreadsheets, databases and check and format letters and correspondence
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (e.g. compose clear and accurate correspondence and reports and communicate well face-to-face and over the phone)
  • Accuracy / conscientious approach / attention to detail
  • Flexibility and able to work well as a member of a busy team
  • Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Able to provide excellent customer service with tact, diplomacy and a helpful approach
